Chess Club
Our chess club is open to all St. Mary students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Students do not need to know how to play in order to join the club. The beginners are shown how the pieces move, how the game is played and beginning strategies. As the students progress they enjoy playing each other. We meet twice a month in the science lab. Chess is a great game to help students develop critical thinking skills and organization techniques and it’s fun!
