Emergency Closing
Local transportation authorities determine when their buses can operate safely in the case of an emergency school closing. Therefore, when Monroe Township public schools are not open due to inclement weather, St. Mary School will also be closed. We will utilize School Messenger Instant Parent Contact to inform you of emergency closings by telephone or you can view Channels CBS, ABC or NBC. Monroe Township, Gloucester County will be identified- not St. Mary’s School. For those outside Monroe Township, you will also need to check your school district on the TV Stations. Information about our closings or delayed openings can also be obtained by checking our website smarys.org.
If the Monroe Township schools are open, St. Mary School will be open. However, if other townships schools are closed, then it is the responsibility of parents to transport these students to St. Mary School, if the parents feel it is safe to transport their children.
