Race for Education
RACE FOR EDUCATION
St. Mary School participates in Race for Education. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to directly benefit our students’ educational experiences at SMS and our school’s Annual Fund.
The purpose will be to raise funds for supplemental materials to enhance our math and language arts curriculum, additional technology resources, hands on equipment for our science lab, professional development for our teachers, classroom furniture, and other essential educational needs in order to continue to provide a quality education for our students.
All students will walk around a designated area as many times as possible in a one-hour period. Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax deductible donation to St. Mary School. Students and classes also have an opportunity to receive a number of prizes based on their participation.
Participation is essential to the success of this program.
Monies raised last year were used for a number of school needs including: updating of Religion and Language Arts books and other textbooks, desks and chairs, additional outdoor security cameras, painting of the school, AED (defibrillator) for the gym, science lab supplies, heater/AC units replaced in kindergarten classrooms and the replacement of six Smartboards, just to name a few.
